day of details
ORDER OF THE DAY
The ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude around 2:00 PM. Our reception celebration begins at 4:00 PM, with approximately a 45-minute drive between the two locations. To make this transition more enjoyable, we invite you to stay a while after the ceremony for light fare and refreshments. Please feel free to linger, mingle, and enjoy a little treat before heading to MOHI Ranch Winery, or utilize this time to check into your hotel or grab a drink in downtown Morgan Hill.
ATTIRE
We’re aiming for that sweet spot between dressed-up and down-to-earth—think formal meets country charm.
Gentlemen, a suit or slacks with a button-down or blazer work just fine (cowboy boots welcome!).
Ladies, come in something you feel comfortable and confident in—cocktail or floor length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or stylish two-piece sets are all perfect fits.
Please keep in mind that the weather may be warm, so breathable fabrics and comfortable shoes are a good idea, especially for any time spent outdoors.
Kindly steer clear of all-white outfits, head-to-toe black, or bold reds. We're keeping the tone warm, celebratory, and timeless.

our story
Some love stories start with a spark, or nowadays, maybe a swipe. Ours began with a love of softball and a pair of friends who knew we’d be perfect for each other.
turns out, they were right. Our first hangout was at a batting cage in the San Jose area, where Jamie immediately fell for Alex’s sweet smile, infectious laugh, hilarious sense of humor, and yes… his incredible softball swing.
alex already knew that this was something special. He thought Jamie was beautiful the moment he saw her—but he truly started to fall in love as he got to know the real her: laid-back and chill, with a competitive streak that kept things exciting, and a fun, flirtatious side that he couldn’t get enough of (and still can’t). Something about the way she came alive around him just felt right. It wasn’t long after that first hangout that he told our friends, “I am going to marry that girl.”
since then, we’ve built a life filled with laughter, friendship, and a whole lot of love. We’re happiest when we’re spending time together—whether it’s playing in league nights or softball tournaments, having a Coors Light at Chili’s or Texas Roadhouse, or just relaxing together while Alex plays video games and Jamie reads a good book. We love playing cards, watching shows, and being with our families, who are so important to both of us.
then came December 1st, 2024. Alex pulled off the ultimate surprise proposal during what Jamie thought was a family Christmas photo shoot out at a ranch in Paicines. Knowing Jamie rarely strays from her cozy uniform of yoga pants and a sweatshirt, he used the shoot as a perfect excuse to get her dressed up. When it was just the two of us in front of the camera, Alex got down on one knee and asked the easiest question Jamie's ever had to answer.
now, we’re looking ahead to the next chapter—dreaming of building a barndominium together, starting a family, and continuing this amazing adventure of life together.
We feel incredibly blessed to have found one another—to have found not just love, but a best friend. Someone who feels like home, who brings peace, joy, and strength into the other’s life. Someone who sees the other fully, pushes the other to be their best self, and reminds the other every day how deeply we’re loved. We thank God for creating us perfectly for one another and for bringing our paths together.
We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you—thank you for being part of our story.
With love,
Jamie & Alex

Q & A
Q: what will the weather be like?
A: We’re expecting classic late-summer sunshine for our wedding day! In Cupertino, where the ceremony will take place, the afternoon should be warm and sunny—likely in the low to mid 80s. Later in the day, as we head to Morgan Hill for the reception, it may get a little warmer at first, with highs in the upper 80s, but temperatures will cool off nicely into the 60s by evening.
To help everyone stay comfortable, the reception will have plenty of shaded areas, indoor air conditioning, and outdoor misters to keep things cool. We recommend dressing for warm weather during the day and bringing a light layer just in case the evening breeze picks up.
Q: will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
a: We’ll have a little bit of both! The ceremony will take place indoors at the church (yes—it’s air conditioned!). Afterward, we’ll head to MOHI Ranch where cocktail hour will be mostly outdoors, but guests are welcome to step inside the wine barrel room (also air conditioned) if they’d like to cool off.
Dinner and dancing will be indoors in the wine barrel room, nice and comfortable. As the evening goes on, you’re welcome to wander outside for lawn games, live music, and to soak in the twinkle lights and sweet summer air. We’re hoping for that perfect August evening under the stars!
Q: can i bring my kids or other additional guests?
A: We kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend. If your children were included on the invite, they are of course welcome (and we believe all the little ones were!). If you received a plus-one, it will be noted on your invitation as well.
We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you, and truly appreciate your help in keeping things within the space and flow we’ve planned for at our venue. Thank you for understanding!
Q: Who should I contact if I have questions about the wedding or issues with the rsvp?
A: If you have any questions or run into trouble with the RSVP, feel free to reach out to us—Jamie and Alex—at walliswedsgarcia@gmail.com. We’ll do our best to get back to you as soon as we can!
Alternatively, you’re also welcome to contact the mother of the bride, Tracy Wallis, at 408‑406‑3877 for any time-sensitive questions.
Q: what is the rsvp deadline?
A: Please submit your RSVP by July 16, 2025 so we can finalize our guest count with the venue. If we haven’t heard from you by then, you may get a friendly follow-up from us—we appreciate your response and can’t wait to celebrate together!
Q: What time should I arrive?
a: The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 PM, so we kindly ask that guests arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 PM to allow time to park, find a seat, and get settled.
The reception will take place at MOHI Ranch Winery, with cocktail hour beginning at 4:00 PM. The venue will likely not open to guests until 3:45 PM, so please plan your arrival accordingly.
Q: Can I take photographs during the ceremony?
a: We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We’ve hired a wonderful photographer to capture all the special moments, and we’d love for you to be fully present with us as we exchange our vows. Don’t worry—we promise to share the beautiful photos afterwards by uploading the gallery to our website!
Q: your ceremony location and reception venue are so far away from each other - what’s up with that?
a: we know, it’s a bit of a drive! The ceremony will take place at West Valley Presbyterian Church in Cupertino, which is not only beautiful, but is especially meaningful to Jamie—she was baptized and raised there, and it holds a special place in her heart.
The reception at MOHI Ranch Winery in Morgan Hill felt like the perfect blend of us. With Alex from Hollister and Jamie from Saratoga, Morgan Hill is a fitting middle ground. The venue reflects our style—a mix of elegant beauty and relaxed, rustic charm, with a touch of the outdoorsy feel we both love. It’s about a 45-minute drive between the two, but don’t worry—we’ll have refreshments and space to mingle after the ceremony before you make your way to the reception. We promise it’ll be worth the trip!
Q: can i bring my own alcohol?
A: the venue does not allow outside alcohol, so we kindly ask that all beverages be enjoyed from the bar on site. We’ll be serving beer, wine, and a couple of signature cocktails throughout the celebration. Cheers!
